Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is “not surprised” that many clubs are interested in his star striker Antoine Griezeman and has said that he will not block an exit should Griezmann want to leave.
The French striker has scored 51 goals since he joined Atletico Madrid in 2014
The Independent reports that talks between the Frenchman and Manchester United are in an advanced stage and that Griezeman has even discussed what number he will take at the club and has verbally agreed to a wage.
The 2015/16 La Liga best player award winner is keen on the deal according to sources close to the player. The chance for Griezmann to link up with fellow French national Paul Pogba is also cited as a reason he wants to make the move to Old trafford.

United would almost certainly have to match the buy-out clause of €100 million for the transfer to go through. Making the transfer even more complicated is the fact that Atletico is currently banned from buying and selling players and are still waiting on the Court of Arbitration for Sport to decide whether they will be able to make transfers in the summer.
If the deal does go through, it is said that Atletico is eyeing Chelsea man Diego Costa as a possible replacement for their striker should they sell.
