The rumors about West Ham United midfielder Dimitri Payet’s future don’t seem to stop. After an unexpected turn of events,  Hammers boss Slaven Bilic informed the media and fans that Payet “did not want to be a West Ham player anymore ” and that he wants to leave the club to which he arrived at only in the summer of 2015. Payet was subsequently the topic of two bids from his previous Ligue 1 club Marseille. However, both approaches were rejected by West Ham as they stated that they did not want to put the player up for sale, but would rather have him apologize to the fans and continue playing for the club.

After a successful first year at the Boleyn Ground for Dimitri Payet, West Ham now find themselves in a deep pit this year after failing to live up to last seasons expectations and currently 12th in the English Premier League.

Although that doesn’t seem realistic enough to happen, the club is now looking to sell the Frenchman and critics are saying that West Ham would be “foolish” to keep the player after his behavior which has angered many fans as well as the clubs managing board.

With top English teams such as Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea as well as successful Ligue 1 clubs such as PSG and Marseille interested in the French playmaker he looks to be headed for the exit door rather soon as a stay at the Hammers and London Stadium seems too far off the table now.
